ReWild Mpumalanga
A landscape-scale restoration initiative focused on clearing invasive species, restoring watershed health, and converting biomass into biochar. It integrates ecosystem restoration with job creation and circular economy principles.
The Framework
Our work is guided by three interconnected pathways that support ecological and community resilience.
Rewilding is about restoring the living systems that allow ecosystems to thrive.
This includes protecting biodiversity, restoring water cycles, rebuilding soil health, and strengthening ecological relationships between people, animals, plants, and landscapes. Rewilding is not about removing people from nature. It is about rebuilding relationships that allow humans and ecosystems to coexist and adapt together.
